An atlas is a book of maps, and the Solkarra Atlas Slate shaft wears one. Fine gold contour lines run the length of a deep blue shaft, a gold compass rose marks the front, and the rear third is finished in black so the fletching and nock sit on a clean ground. The Solkarra name, the spine and the straightness rating are printed in gold along the shaft. It is a design that reads as a chart in the hand and as a single dark line in flight.
These are the Atlas Slate shafts built into complete arrows. Each one starts as a premium carbon shaft with a straightness of +/- .003, spine rated before it is cut, in five spines from 400 to 800. Lighter bows and shorter draws sit at the 800 end; heavier bows and longer draws at the 400 end. If you are unsure, leave a note with your order and we will match the spine to your bow.
Choose your arrow length from 24 to 31 inches and we cut each shaft to it. Pick your field tip weight (75, 100 or 125 grains) or let us choose a sensible match for the spine. Choose a nock colour, then your index feather and hen feather colours from the full range, or pick “Any colour” and we will fletch from what is on the bench. Every arrow ships with nock, insert and tip fitted and 4 inch feather fletching glued and set.
This listing is for twelve complete arrows. They are built to order, so allow a few days for cutting and fletching before they ship. If you prefer to build your own, the Solkarra Atlas Slate Carbon Bare Shafts are the same shaft supplied uncut and unfletched.
